The Cameroonian railway from now on crossed in the scanner, thanks to the inauguration of railway geometric control on December 03rd, 2014. Ceremony chaired by Minister of Transport, Robert Nkili, over the train station of Yaoundé, in the presence of Hamadou Sali and Quentin Gérard, respectively Chairman of the Board and managing director of Camrail. .
Constructed by Plasser and Theurer company, Austrian specialist in railway maintenace, the geometric parameter for control, will permit the cameronian railway to collect information on the geometric quality of the rail, the data on the profiles of rails, route degradation and surface defects.
Of a value 2 310 000 000 Fcfa TTC, the acquisition of this vehicle of control of the way is in conformity with the provisions of the convention on concession over the period 2009-2020, on the investment of 230 Billions financed by Camrail.
The inauguration of this service comes at a time when Camrail celebrates her fifteen years of succes in Cameroon.
